The mission of the International Community Development Foundation (ICDF) is to promote peace and international cooperation through charitable, educational, scientific and literary activities.
ICDF is currently engaged in the creation and development of the local elementary school in Tsharka, Dolpo, Nepal, providing salaries for teachers, teaching materials, and other support the school requires.
The International Community Development Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization registered in the United States of America. Donations to ICDF are tax deductible contributions to a charitable organization.
ICDF was founded in 1997 by Barbara Euser and Dean Crowell.
ICDF has contributed to projects in Bosnia, Somaliland, Zimbabwe and Nepal:
Bosnia – ICDF initiated the All Bosnia Girls Soccer Camp in 2002, working with Ismet Kapetanovic and the Bosnian non-profit organization Let’s Act Through Sport (now called Let’s Be Active).
Somaliland – ICDF conducted a micro-lending program, carried out under the supervision of the Institute for Practical Research and Training.
Zimbabwe – ICDF conducted a micro-lending and grant program supporting Shona stone sculptors, developed in conjunction with economist Dr. Doris Jansen.
Nepal – ICDF supports the construction and development of the elementary school in Tsharka, Dolpo.
